Complete as many steps as possible, even if your computer won't turn on.

Have your login password ready
Disable Startup passwords
Remove BIOS/firmware passwords - if set
Bring your device and charger
Security Option
If concerned about data privacy: Create a new admin account, then delete your personal account and data before bringing device in.

Before Drop-Off
Data Protection:
Sign out of all accounts (email, cloud, social media)
Document software licenses and product keys
Temporarily deactivate encryption software
Remove confidential documents
Hardware:
Remove USB devices and external drives
Note any physical damage
Clean device exterior
Remove privacy screens/covers
Bring related accessories (excluding monitors, printers, and large items)
System Info:
Document OS version and custom settings
List recently installed programs
