Service & Support
Authorization and Warranty: Rocket Squad technicians are highly trained to perform hardware and software repairs. However, Rocket Squad and its affiliates are not an Authorized Service Provider (ASP) for Microsoft Corporation or any specific PC manufacturer (including but not limited to Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS, or Acer) and are in no way affiliated with these entities. Repairs or technical support rendered by Rocket Squad may void original manufacturer warranties. Rocket Squad and its affiliates do not assume any liability or warranty in the event that manufacturer warranties are voided, but may, at its sole discretion, offer its own warranty on the parts and/or services performed.
Estimates and Timelines: Rocket Squad does not guarantee repair-time estimates. We are not responsible for delays in service due to high volume in our service center, parts shipping delays, weather, or acts of God.
Customer Responsibility: It is the customer’s responsibility to provide Rocket Squad with accurate information regarding the PC model, specifications, and current condition, as well as disclosure of any previous repair attempts or modifications (including overclocking or custom BIOS/firmware updates).
Back-up and Data: Rocket Squad has no liability for any loss, alteration, or corruption of any software, data, or files which may occur during the course of repair or support. The customer is solely responsible for backing up all data before allowing Rocket Squad to work on the device. Rocket Squad offers data backup services at an hourly rate and possesses extensive experience in data recovery for failing drives; however, we cannot guarantee total data recovery.
Storage Fees: A storage fee of $2 per day will be charged for any completed or canceled repair not picked up within 30 days of notification. After 30 days, the hardware will be considered unclaimed, and the abandonment process will begin. Rocket Squad will attempt to contact the customer by phone and email. If the equipment is not retrieved within 90 days from service completion, it may be deemed abandoned and will become the property of Rocket Squad unless other arrangements are agreed to in writing.
Warranty Coverage
Our 30-day warranty is limited specifically to the parts and services purchased.
Parts Only: Warranty is limited to the replacement of the defective part.
Parts and Labor: Warranty covers the labor cost of part replacement and repairs resulting directly from the initial service.
After 30 days, the manufacturer’s warranty (if applicable) applies to qualifying hardware components.
Warranty Does Not Protect Against:
Subsequent mishandling or physical damage.
Liquid damage or corrosion.
Accidental or purposeful drops.
Tampering with internal hardware or "DIY" modifications.
Software issues unrelated to the specific repair (e.g., virus infections, Windows update errors, or new driver conflicts).
New hardware failures unrelated to the original repair.
Pre-Repair Conditions: Our warranty does not cover the outcome of a repair if certain conditions existed prior to our service, such as known manufacturing defects, motherboard issues, or previous liquid exposure. If a device is irreparably damaged as a direct result of a Rocket Squad repair attempt, the customer is entitled to a refurbished PC of equal or greater fair market value, or the monetary equivalent, as determined by Rocket Squad.
Purchases and Returns
Special Orders: Custom-ordered parts or specialized hardware require a 25% deposit. These items are non-returnable unless found to be defective.
Standard Returns: Most items can be returned or exchanged within 10 days for a refund if they are unopened and accompanied by a receipt. Returned items must be in "like-new" condition with all original packaging, cables, and documentation.
Restocking Fees: Unless an item is defective, all returns are subject to a restocking fee of 10% of the original purchase price ($10 minimum).
Refund Processing:
Cash/Check: Refunds will be issued via check within 10 business days of return date.
Credit Card: Refunds will be credited only to the original card used for purchase.
Gift Cards
Gift Cards: Rocket Squad gift cards are non-refundable, non-replaceable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
Governing Law and Severability
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
