Be Ready for Your In-Home Visit or Remote Session

To make the most of your appointment, please have the following ready before your technician arrives or connects.

  1. Know your passwords. Have your computer's admin password, your Microsoft Account password, and your primary email password ready.

  2. Check your backup. Make sure your computer is backed up, or have a recent backup available. Windows backup options

  3. For in-home visits: Have your Wi-Fi network name and password available.

  4. For remote sessions: Download our Rocket Remote software ahead of time by clicking the Rocket Remote badge in the footer of our website, or click here to download.

  5. Make a list of goals and questions. Jot down what you'd like to accomplish and any questions you have — whether it's fixing a specific issue, setting something up, or simply gaining a better understanding of your setup. A clear list helps your technician focus on what matters most to you.

  6. Bring or gather any related devices or accessories that may be part of the issue (printers, external drives, phones, etc.).
